Broad Street Mural Project

Background

The City of Woodbury Broad Street Mural Project is an initiative led by the City of Woodbury Mayor, Council and administration in partnership with the community; it is primarily funded by the City of Woodbury Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP) and the Gloucester County Cultural & Heritage Commission. The primary purpose of this project is to (1) replace the current HMS Lyon mural on Broad Street that was recently removed (original picture of mural located below) and (2) continue to build on the arts and cultural identity of our community to better reflect the social and cultural fabric that makes up our city.

Calling All Artists for Requests for Qualifications (RFQ)

The City of Woodbury is seeking qualifications from professional mural artists (or artist teams) to design, create and install a site-specific mural at 161 N. Broad St, Woodbury, NJ. 08096 on an existing billboard structure. The mural billboard area consists of plywood and is approximately 16ft tall x 24ft long or 384 square feet in total. Actual Physical location is a little further north at the end of the Corsi Dental Associates parking lot. The mural will emphasize the following key areas: Woodbury Community Heart & Soul statements, mural redesign survey community feedback and the cultural identity of the city, which will serve as a lasting artwork for the community that everyone can be proud of. Critical Dates:

  • RFQ Release Date: 9/15/2025
  • Deadline to submit RFQ: 10/06/2025 by 9:00 PM EST.
