Pedestrian Path Expansion Project

Introduction

The New jersey Department of Transportation continues its Commitment to Communities Initiative to help local government succeed in delivering transportation projects. Woodbury City has been selected to receive one and a half million dollars ($1,500,000) in Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program funding for the City of Woodbury Pedestrian Path Network along Hester's Branch and Woodbury Creek. The proposed pedestrian path for this 2023 TA Set-Aside grant application will directly connect to the Phase 1 and Phase 2 bike paths – greatly extending the reach of the city’s path network. For full details on the project overview and scope, please review the 'City of Woodbury TAP Letter' which can also be located in the 'Supporting Documents' section. For ongoing updates on the progress of the pedestrian path expansion project, stay tuned into this page.

Townhall (Public Meeting)

The City of Woodbury Administration, with the support of the Mayor and City Council, held a Town Hall meeting on July 10th, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Woodbury Junior-Senior High School Auditorium. The Townhall provided an overview of the pedestrian path project including the high-level project plan, question and answer session (Q&A) and physical material and resources were made available for all community stakeholders to review and provide comment on. The presentation and as well as several maps of the pedestrian path can be found in the 'Supporting Documents' section.

Community Feedback Loop

It is important for the greater Woodbury community to be aware of the incredible projects the City of Woodbury is actively working on, and it is just as important to hear your feedback throughout the process. In that spirit, an email has been created for community members to submit questions, concerns and general feedback to so that the City of Woodbury is able to capture your voice. For any questions, concerns and or feedback, please email our Pedestrian Path group.
