Hazardous Waste Removal

Since 1989, Gloucester County has conducted a series of collection days where residents can drop off their "Household Special Waste" (HSW) at a designated location. Over the years, the Gloucester County Improvement Authority (GCIA)/Office of Recycling, in cooperation with the Board of Chosen Freeholders, has expanded the number of HSW events offered per year. This was done in an effort to provide a more convenient HSW disposal schedule for Gloucester County residents. Over the years, Gloucester County's HSW Program has accommodated thousands of County residents and accepted hundreds of tons of hazardous materials.
