Crime Blotter 7/13/2025 - 7/18/2025

On 7/13, officers were dispatched to the Conoco station on Mantua Avenue in response to a robbery. Employees reported that two juvenile males had previously entered the store asking for Sweet Wood Wraps, but the clerk refused to serve them because they could not provide identification. Approximately 20 minutes later, the same individuals returned wearing masks; one of them had a handgun in his waistband. They seized a box of vapes and fled the scene. Following an investigation, both males were positively identified and charged with possession of a handgun, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and armed robbery. Court dates are pending.

 

On 7/15, while patrolling the area of the YMCA, officers observed a male resident of Vineland urinating behind a trash can at the football field. He was issued summonses for breach of peace and lewd/indecent behavior. Court date is pending.

 

On 7/15, officers were dispatched to a residence on West Street regarding a stolen vehicle. The victim reported that his vehicle had been stolen sometime overnight. The vehicle was entered into the NCIC as stolen. Using a tracking device, the victim was able to locate his vehicle in the area of N. Natrona Street in Philadelphia. Officers contacted the Philadelphia police and informed them about the stolen vehicle in their jurisdiction. Approximately one hour later, the victim told officers that he had recovered the vehicle himself, as the Philadelphia police did not respond. The vehicle had been damaged, and several electronics were missing. The victim also reported that one of his license plates was missing, which was subsequently entered into the NCIC as stolen. There is currently no estimate of the damage amount. The incident is still under investigation.

 

On 7/15, while patrolling near the YMCA, officers observed a man urinating beside a trash can. The Vineland resident was issued a summons for lewd and indecent behavior and was sent on his way. A court date is pending.


On 7/16, the owner of New Bella Nails reported that his business information had been fraudulently used to open two credit cards. The victim stated that he contacted both financial institutions, and the accounts have since been closed and are under investigation by each. The victim requested a report for documentation purposes.

 

On 7/16, while on patrol, officers observed a male consuming alcohol. A pedestrian stop was conducted, and the New Amsterdam vodka was emptied and disposed of in a nearby trash can. A summons for possession of an open container of alcohol was issued, and he was sent on his way. A court date is pending.

 

On 7/16, a resident of Leona Court reported that someone had gone through her car the previous night and stolen several items valued at $1,750.00. There were no signs of forced entry, so she assumed she had accidentally left a door unlocked. The caller has no suspects and simply wants to document the theft in order to file a claim with her insurance.

 

On 7/17, a resident from Delaware Street reported that her vehicle had been stolen. Her friend, a resident of Westville, took the car on July 10 and has not returned it. The vehicle was entered into the NCIC as stolen. During the investigation, detectives located the stolen vehicle with a flat tire on Marion Avenue in Westville. The owner was informed of where her vehicle had been towed.

 

On 7/18, officers were dispatched to a residence on East Barber Avenue in response to a burglary report. The caller stated that someone had entered her home and ransacked it. It was discovered that all the missing items belonged to her eldest son, who is currently in jail. The incident is still under investigation.
