On 11/25, officers were dispatched to Performance Dodge in response to a report of damage to a loaner vehicle. The dealership explained that they had loaned a vehicle to a customer on August 29th while her own car was being repaired. Despite multiple attempts to contact the customer, she only responded after being threatened with a report of the vehicle being stolen. Upon the return of the loaner vehicle, it was found to be damaged, and the customer did not report this damage to either the dealership or the police. Additionally, the dealership received multiple traffic violations in both New Jersey and Texas while the customer was driving the loaner vehicle. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $6,000. Officers explained the process for filing complaints to the parties involved.
On 11/26, a resident of Wenonah was charged with breach of peace, disorderly conduct, hindering apprehension, and obstruction after creating a disturbance in the Wawa parking lot located in Woodbury Heights. The court date is pending.
On 11/27, an Erial resident was charged with contempt of court. Court date pending.
On 11/28, a resident of S. Barber Avenue was charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, breach of peace, and refusal to submit to fingerprinting after causing a disturbance at a residence on Myrtle Avenue. Since this has been an ongoing issue, the resident of Myrtle Avenue was also issued a summons for occupant standard violations. Court dates are pending.
On 11/29, a Lawnside resident was charged with criminal mischief and aggerated assault on a healthcare worker. Court date pending.
On 11/30, officers were dispatched to a business on South Broad Street in response to a shoplifting incident. The caller reported that a male entered the store, concealed some merchandise, and then ran out without paying. A description of the suspect was provided to the officers, and he will be charged accordingly once identified.
