On 6/16, a resident of Blackwood was charged with lewdness, improper behavior, and breach of peace after causing a disturbance near the intersection of North Broad Street and Chestnut Street by walking naked and yelling profanities. A court date is pending.

 

On 6/17, while patrolling the area of South Broad Street, officers observed a male known to have an active warrant for failing to appear in court regarding a robbery he participated in on October 2, 2024. The individual was arrested and transported to Salem County Jail. A court date is pending.

 

On 6/17, a resident of East Centre Street received a summons for violating a municipal ordinance regarding occupancy standards. The ordinance states that occupants and their guests must comply with all applicable laws. This action followed police being dispatched due to a disturbance inside the rental unit. A court date is pending.

 

On 6/17, officers were dispatched to Colonial Park Apartments in response to a report of a theft. The caller explained that while she was at a neighbor's apartment feeding their cat, she left her walker outside the door. When she returned, she found that her walker had been moved and her wallet was missing. After a brief investigation, the suspect was identified as a resident of Paulsboro who was visiting someone on another floor. Although the wallet was recovered, the money inside was missing. The victim stated that she did not wish to file any formal complaints. It was learned that the male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, and he was subsequently lodged in Salem County Jail. A court date is pending.

 

On 6/18, officers were dispatched to Nelson Avenue to assist a resident who had locked herself out of her vehicle. Entry was successful, and she was sent on her way.

 

On 6/18, West Deptford police apprehended a male subject with an outstanding Woodbury warrant and turned him over to the Woodbury police. Officers took the man, a resident of West Deptford, into custody, processed him, and then handed him over to the Sheriff’s Department for transportation to Salem County Jail. A court date is pending.


On 6/19, officers were dispatched to Burger King to assist a customer who had locked her keys inside her car. The officers were able to quickly gain entry, and everyone went on their way.

 

On 6/20, a resident of National Park and a resident of Woodbury Heights were charged with simple assault following a mutual fight. Court dates are pending.

 

On 6/20, officers responded to the area of West Centre Street and South Broad Street after receiving a report of a fight. Upon arrival, the officers encountered two males, both residents of Woodlake Apartments. One male was charged with obstruction of administrative law, disorderly conduct, and breach of peace. The second male faced several charges, including aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, breach of peace, and possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS). Court dates for both individuals are pending.

 

On 6/21, a resident of Penns Grove was charged with simple assault following a domestic violence incident at a residence on High Street. The court date is pending.

 

On 6/21, officers were dispatched to CVS for a report of shoplifting. While en route to the store, officers located the suspect, a male resident of Westville, in the McDonald's parking lot. He was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting, possession of an open container of alcohol, and disorderly conduct. Additionally, the suspect had several outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court. All jurisdictions granted him a release on his own recognizance (ROR). Court dates are pending.
