On 11/7, during a pedestrian stop for improperly crossing N. Broad St. at Red Bank Ave., where traffic had the right of way, a resident of Pine Hill was found to have several outstanding warrants for her arrest, and in possession of CDS paraphernalia. All issuing municipalities granted RORs (Release on Recognizance) with new court dates. Summonses were issued for improper crossing of the roadway, obstruction of motor vehicles, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. A court date is pending.
On 11/8, officers were dispatched to the Wawa in Woodbury Heights regarding a shoplifting incident. Employees reported that a male, possibly a juvenile, entered the store the previous night and stole items. This same male returned to the store on this day and shoplifted additional merchandise. Employees stated that the male then walked behind the Wawa and entered a nearby residence. The juvenile's father was informed of the incident but refused to cooperate. The male was trespassed from the store and will face charges if he returns.
On 11/8, a resident of Hopkins Street was charged with multiple offenses, including driving under the influence (DUI), refusal to submit to breath testing, failure to possess registration and insurance cards, failure to inspect the vehicle, improper maintenance of lamps, following too closely, reckless driving, and driving without headlights. Officers observed 35 bottles of Modelo beer inside the vehicle, leading to a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. A court date is pending.
On 11/9, a resident of N. Girard Street reported that her vehicle was stolen overnight. The vehicle was entered into the NCIC database as stolen. On November 10th, West Deptford police located the stolen vehicle seven blocks from where it was originally reported to be stolen. The steering column had been ripped out, rendering the vehicle inoperable. The vehicle was towed, removed from NCIC, and the victim was notified. This incident is still under investigation.
On 11/10, while patrolling near N. Broad Street and Packer Avenue, officers observed a driver using a cell phone. Summonses were issued for cell phone use, an unregistered vehicle, and an uninsured vehicle. Court date is pending.
On 11/10, a resident of Berlin was issued traffic summonses for careless driving, delaying traffic, and disregarding a traffic signal. The court date is pending.
On 11/11, while conducting foot patrol on S. Broad Street, several vehicles were issued parking tickets for violating the municipal ordinance regarding two-hour parking. Court dates are pending.
On 11/12, a resident of Philadelphia was issued summonses for driving with a suspended license and failure to inspect their vehicle. A court date is pending.
On 11/13, a Williamstown resident was issued summonses for speeding and having fictitious plates. A court date is pending.
On 11/14, during a traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver had an outstanding warrant for her arrest from Mt. Ephraim. An ROR was granted, and a new court date was scheduled.
On 11/15, during a pedestrian stop, it was discovered that the male, a resident of Progress Avenue, had two warrants for his arrest. Both issuing jurisdictions granted an ROR with a new court date and issued a summons.
