Crime Blotter 11/1/2025 - 11/6/2025

On 11/1, a resident of West Street was charged with multiple offenses, including DUI, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, driving without a license, failure to provide registration and insurance cards, failure to use a signal, and driving on the shoulder. These charges stemmed from a hit-and-run incident in Westville, where the driver did not stay at the scene. The victim called the police while following the suspect into Woodbury. A court date is pending.

 

On 11/1, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Hessian Avenue and North Broad Street regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in the middle of the road. Upon arrival, officers found the driver unconscious inside the vehicle. The driver was awakened and eventually charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and creating a risk of an accident. A court date is pending.

 

11/2, DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME – TIME TO FALL BACK – TURN CLOCKS BACK ONE HOUR

 

On 11/2, officers were dispatched to a residence on Aberdeen Place in response to reports of two suspicious men knocking on doors. Upon arrival, officers found the two men walking away from the residence. The first man spoke with the police, denied knocking on any doors, and was allowed to leave. However, the second man refused to provide his name and became combative with the officers. He was subsequently charged with obstruction and released. Both individuals maintained that they had not been knocking on doors.

 

On 11/3, officers were dispatched to Nova Farms in response to a robbery. Employees reported that a male suspect, wearing a wolf mask, jumped through the drive-thru window, assaulted an employee, seized the cash register, and then exited through the same window. After a thorough investigation, on November 18th, a resident of South Childs Street was charged with several offenses, including robbery, burglary, theft, possession of a weapon (a crowbar), possession of an imitation firearm, possession of burglary tools, aggravated assault with a weapon, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass. A court date is pending.


11/4, ELECTION DAY 

 

On 11/5, officers were dispatched to the Broad Street Smoke Shop to investigate a theft report. Employees reported that a male had requested four bottles of EDP and a pack of cigarettes. While they turned to retrieve the cigarettes, the male stole two of the four bottles. A description of the suspect was provided, and a few minutes later, he was located near McDonald's. The suspect, a resident of West Deptford, admitted to the theft. He has been charged accordingly, and a court date is pending.

 

On 11/5, a resident of Deptford Avenue reported that her dog had been stolen from the front of her home. The dog was outside playing and had not been leashed or tethered while she briefly went inside. When she returned, the dog was missing. After reviewing the security camera footage, it was observed that a vehicle had stopped, two people got out, called the dog, and placed it inside their car before driving away. Officers contacted the vehicle's owner, who informed them that her daughter had borrowed it. After speaking with the women involved, the dog was returned to the police, who then contacted the owner to reunite her with her pet. The suspect was educated on the procedures to follow should she locate any more lost animals.

 

On 11/6, a Bellmawr resident was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct after officers observed him hit, push, and pull the female he was walking with. Court date is pending.

 

On 11/6, while conducting a property check on N. Broad Street, officers observed basement doors propped open and a male sleeping inside. The male was removed and charged with trespassing and burglary. A court date is pending.
