On 9/13, a pedestrian was stopped for not using the crosswalk at the intersection of North Broad Street and East Red Bank Avenue. This violation caused several vehicles to stop abruptly to avoid hitting the pedestrian. The resident of Clarksboro was subsequently charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS), possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructing public streets. A court date is pending.

 On 9/13, a resident of Hunter Street was charged with criminal mischief following a domestic incident that took place at the residence. A court date is pending.

 On 9/14, a resident of South Barber Avenue was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and breach of peace following a domestic altercation that took place inside an apartment on Myrtle Avenue. The individual has been lodged in the Salem County Jail, and a court date is pending.

 On 9/14, officers were dispatched to the Colonial Diner following a report of a damaged vehicle. The victim reported that while he was inside the diner, someone attempted to break into his vehicle. The driver's side door handle was broken off and found on the ground. Employees were able to provide a description of the vehicle that the suspects, wearing ski masks, fled in. This vehicle was also reported stolen out of Camden. Several hours later, the Carney’s Point Police Department located the unoccupied vehicle, which was then towed. Currently, there are no known suspects in this case.

 On 9/15, a resident of Deptford reported to the police that he wanted to have two of his vehicles listed as stolen. He explained that he had leased these vehicles to a woman employed by Always Hope Transport, based in Georgia. He had not received payment for several months, and the woman was refusing to return the vehicles. Officers contacted the suspect and explained the potential consequences of not returning the vehicles. However, she refused to cooperate and still did not return them. As a result, both vehicles were entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as stolen. A few days later, an officer from Brantley County, Georgia, informed Woodbury police that they had recovered a vehicle reported stolen from Woodbury. The officer was instructed to impound this vehicle, and the owner was notified. This vehicle was subsequently removed from the NCIC database, while the other vehicle remains listed as stolen.

 On 9/15, a resident of Franklin Street was charged with contempt of court for contacting his ex via text messages after being served with a Final Restraining Order and was prohibited from contacting her. A court date is pending.

On 9/16, officers were dispatched to Wawa on North Evergreen Avenue in response to a report of shoplifting. Employees reported that a juvenile male had walked out of the store without paying for his merchandise. Additionally, an employee informed officers about a similar incident involving another juvenile male who had paid for one item but left without paying for the other items. Both juveniles were identified by school resource officers. The parents were notified and informed that, instead of facing charges, a station house adjustment would be implemented. This adjustment requires the juveniles to write an essay about the negative impact that a shoplifting charge can have on their future.

 On 9/16, a resident of South Broad Street was observed drinking a 25-ounce Bud Ice in public. The individual was issued a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol, and the beverage was disposed of. A court date is pending.

 On 9/16, an Allen Street resident received summonses for allowing their dog to run at large, failing to license the dog, and for the dog causing injury after it bit a child who was walking home from school. Animal control was notified of the incident and will conduct an investigation. A court date is pending.

 On 9/17, two vehicles that appeared to be abandoned in City Parking Lot 1 were marked with 48-hour abandoned vehicle warnings. A follow-up inspection was conducted, during which one of the vehicles was moved and the other was towed. Both vehicle owners received summonses for having unregistered vehicles, and a court date is pending.

 On 9/17, officers were dispatched to Aldi in response to a report of shoplifting. Employees advised that the male suspect entered the store, concealed $73.95 worth of merchandise, and left without paying. Detectives successfully identified the suspect, a resident of Delaware Street, and charged him accordingly. A court date is pending.

 On 9/18, a Westville resident was charged with breach of peace, receiving stolen property (Dollar Tree shopping cart), and littering. Court date pending. Officers returned the cart to Dollar Tree in Woodbury Heights.

On 9/19, a West Deptford resident was issued summonses for disorderly conduct and breach of peace after causing a disturbance in front of Inspira Emergency Room. The court date is pending.

 On 9/19, a resident of High Street was arrested and charged with simple assault following a domestic incident that took place inside their home. The individual also had an NCIC alert out of Gloucester County and was subsequently taken to the Salem County Jail. A court date is pending.

 On 9/20, while on patrol near Towne Liquors, officers observed a male known to have an active warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and was found to be in possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substance) paraphernalia, an open container of alcohol, and a wallet that did not belong to him. Officers contacted the owner of the wallet, who stated it had been stolen the previous week while she was at Aldi, and she has since replaced the cards inside. Brooklawn PD granted him a release on his own recognizance (ROR) with a new court date. Before his release, he was charged with possession of CDS paraphernalia, possession of an open container of alcohol, and receiving stolen property. A court date is pending.

 On 9/20, Deptford Police contacted Woodbury officers to inform them they were out at Heritage on Cooper Street with a stolen vehicle. The stolen vehicle belongs to a Woodbury resident. Deptford officers requested that officers make contact with the vehicle's owner. At that time, the owner called to report the vehicle as stolen. It was noted that the vehicle's door handle was broken, and the ignition had been removed. The owner was notified and went to Heritage to retrieve their vehicle. The cost of repairs is currently unknown. The incident remains under investigation.

 On 9/21, a N. Evergreen Avenue resident was charged with simple assault after striking the victim in the face with a closed fist, causing swelling to her cheek. Court date is pending.
