Biography

Detective Duffy began his law enforcement career with the Wildwood Police Department as an SLEO II Officer, graduating from the Cape May County Police Academy in May of 2015. Detective Duffy was then hired by the Woodbury City Police Department in January 2016 as an SLEO II Officer and was promoted to a full-time Patrolman in September of 2016 and assigned to the Detective Bureau in June of 2024.

Detective Duffy attended Rowan University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2016, and later obtained a Master of Public Administration Degree from Rutgers University in 2019.

During his time with the Woodbury City Police Department, Detective Duffy has been assigned to the Power Shift and the PACE (Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement) Unit and is also a Field Training Officer and member of the Department’s Traffic Unit. As a member of the Traffic Unit, Detective Duffy is responsible for reviewing all accident reports, handling citizen traffic concerns, completing traffic studies, maintaining radar equipment, and investigating all fatal and serious motor vehicle crashes. Detective Duffy also served as the Woodbury Police Association Treasurer and is now Vice-President of the Police Association.
