New & Improved City Hall Hours
Beginning Monday, January 12, 2026, City Hall will be open Monday–Thursday from 7 AM to 5 PM, offering earlier morning access and extended evening hours.These updated hours are designed to improve efficiency while providing greater flexibility and accessibility for residents who may not be able to visit during traditional business hours.City Hall will now be closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.Please note: No other City services or buildings are affected by this change. Any schedule updates for other departments will be shared through holiday operating schedules or emergency closure notices.

Crime Blotter 1/1/2026 - 1/9/2026
On 1/2, a resident of Delaware Street was charged with violating occupancy standards for allowing someone to live in her apartment without being on the lease. A court date is pending.
On 1/2, officers were dispatched to CVS in response to a shoplifting incident. Employees reported that a male suspect entered the store, concealed merchandise in a Walmart shopping bag, and left without paying. The suspect was observed boarding a New Jersey Transit bus. Officers conducted a traffic stop and removed the suspect, a resident of Stratford, from the bus. It was discovered that he had an active warrant for his arrest out of Camden, which was granted a release on recognizance (ROR). The male was charged with shoplifting, and a court date is pending.
On 1/3, a resident of Westville was issued a summons for lewdness after delivering a package to a residence on North Bayard Avenue and urinating in the driveway. The court date is pending.
On 1/4, officers responded to a residence on Nelson Avenue following a report of criminal mischief. The caller stated that someone had punctured three tires overnight. The cost to replace the vehicle’s tires is $1,380.00. The homeowner provided officers with the name of someone they suspected of causing the damage. If the suspect is proven to have slashed the tires, he will face appropriate charges.
On 1/5, officers were dispatched to Ace Ford to investigate a report of damage to a vehicle. The sales manager explained that upon arriving in the morning, he observed damage to the tailgate of a new Ford F-150. It seemed that someone had attempted to remove and steal the tailgate. The approximate cost of repair is $1000. The incident is currently under investigation.
On 1/5, officers responded to a report of shoplifting at CVS. Employees explained that a male entered the store, concealed merchandise in a bag, and left without paying. The suspect had already left by the time police arrived. After reviewing the video footage, detectives were able to positively identify the male, a resident of Glassboro. He has been charged with shoplifting and trespassing, as he had previously been banned from the store. A court date is pending.
On 1/6, a resident of Curtis Avenue entered the police department and informed officers that she had warrants for her arrest. Upon checking, three active warrants were found. All jurisdictions granted her release on recognizance (ROR) with new court dates. After being processed, she was released along with her new paperwork.
On 1/7, officers were dispatched to Ace Ford regarding a damaged vehicle. The caller reported that an F250 was in their lot awaiting minor repairs. The vehicle had damage to the taillight, the driver's side tailgate pin was bent, and the tailgate was missing. This incident is currently under investigation.
On 1/8, during a traffic stop, the driver was found to have a suspended driver's license and two active warrants. Both jurisdictions granted a release on recognizance (ROR) with new court dates. A summons for driving with a suspended license was issued before the driver was released. The court date is pending.
On 1/9, officers were dispatched to CVS for a shoplifting report. Employees stated that a man entered the store, concealed several items, and then left without paying for them. They provided a description of the suspect. Another officer in the area spotted a man who matched the description and conducted a pedestrian stop. The individual was identified as a resident of Glassboro and was found to be in possession of all the stolen merchandise. He was arrested, the items were returned to CVS, and he was charged with shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, he was trespassed from the store. A court date is pending.

Crime Blotter 12/28/2025 - 12/31/2025
On 12/28, a Williamstown resident was lodged in the Salem County Jail due to an outstanding warrant. Court date is pending.
On 12/29, officers were dispatched to the lobby of Colonial Park Apartments regarding an unwanted person. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male who had previously been banned from the property. The officers reminded him of the ban, noting that it was late at night and he needed to leave. The individual was issued a summons for trespassing and exited the premises without incident. A court date is pending.
On 12/30, officers were dispatched to a residence on Crescent Avenue regarding an unspecified dispute. After collecting information from all parties involved, the caller became argumentative with the officers and refused to provide his name. The resident of Collingswood was charged with obstruction and was advised not to return to the Crescent Avenue residence. A court date is pending.
On 12/31, a resident of Woodbury reported a possible abandoned vehicle parked on West Packer Street. Officers arrived at the location and found that the vehicle's registration had expired in December 2022, and it had a flat tire on the rear passenger side. The officers placed a sticker on the vehicle and issued two summonses to the registered owner. On January 2, the officers returned to follow up and noticed that the vehicle was still in the same spot. As a result, the vehicle was towed, and an additional summons for abandonment was sent to the registered owner. A court date is pending.

Crime Blotter 12/13/2025 - 12/27/2025
On 12/13, a Camden resident was charged with two counts of criminal mischief after he was observed spray-painting property at Lot 323 and on Hopkins Street. Court date pending.
On 12/14, during a traffic stop, the driver gave officers a false name. He was arrested, and it was discovered that he had outstanding warrants. The Camden resident was charged with hindering apprehension (for providing a false name), obstruction, failure to show his license, registration, and insurance, maintenance of lamps, failure to wear a seatbelt, and driving without a license. He was transported to Salem County Jail due to the warrants. A court date is pending.
On 12/15, a resident of Minotola, NJ, was charged with contempt of court for violating a temporary restraining order (TRO). A court date is pending.
On 12/16, officers were dispatched to Wawa on N. Evergreen Avenue after receiving a report of a stolen wallet. The victim followed the suspect and provided a description and location of the male. Officers made contact with the individual behind CVS and subsequently placed him under arrest. Using footprints in the snow, the officers were able to locate the victim's wallet and return it to her. The male was found to have warrants for his arrest, including charges of aggravated assault with a knife and simple assault with a deadly weapon. Before being transported to Salem County Jail, he was charged with theft and trespassing. Court dates are pending.
On 12/16, a U-Haul field manager reported that one of their rental vehicles had been stolen. The manager explained that a resident of Wenonah rented the vehicle for 24 hours on November 16 and later requested an extension, which was granted. However, the manager has since been unable to make contact with her. Officers attempted to reach the woman but were unsuccessful. The vehicle was then entered into the NCIC as stolen. On December 23, the vehicle was located by the Bellmawr police, who arrested the driver. The Bellmawr police charged her with receiving stolen property and other drug-related offenses. The vehicle has since been returned to U-Haul, and a court date is pending.
On 12/17, a resident of Manor Avenue was charged with simple assault following an altercation that occurred inside their residence. The court date is pending.
On 12/18, while sitting in heavy traffic on N. Broad Street, officers observed a vehicle pull into the center lane and pass several cars, including the officers' vehicle, in an attempt to avoid the traffic. Another vehicle that was trying to use the center lane to enter a business was nearly struck by this vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver summonses for careless driving, improper use of the center lane, creating a risk of an accident, unsafe lane change, and operating an unregistered vehicle. A court date is pending.
On 12/19, officers responded to Wendy's regarding an unwanted person. Employees reported that a former employee had entered the restaurant, caused a disturbance, and thrown trash in the parking lot. By the time the police arrived, the individual had already left. The employees did not wish to press charges; they simply wanted him banned from the store. Officers were able to locate the individual, explained that he was banned from the premises, and informed him that if he returned, he would be charged with trespassing.
On 12/19, officers observed a man standing at the intersection of Cooper Street and Railroad Avenue holding a license plate that had been reported stolen. When he saw the officers, he threw the plate into nearby bushes. The man, a resident of Pitman, was found to have a warrant out of Westville. He was granted a release on recognizance (ROR) and given a new court date. The officers returned the stolen license plate to its owner.
On 12/20, a Paulsboro resident was charged with DUI after hitting a parked truck on S. American Street. Court date is pending.
On 12/21, after responding to a disturbance at a residence on Hopkins Street, one of the individuals present was found to have three outstanding warrants for his arrest. The male was subsequently transported to Salem County Jail, with court dates pending.
On 12/22, the Camden City Police informed officers that they had a female suspect in custody who had an outstanding warrant from Woodbury. Officers met at the State Police Barracks in Bellmawr, where the suspect was transferred to them. The resident of Wayne Avenue in Camden posted bail and received a new court date.
On 12/23, officers were dispatched to eBZZ Motors to investigate a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim informed them that his vehicle was parked on the side of the business, locked, and securely fenced in. He stated that the only set of keys was inside the business. This incident is currently under investigation.
On 12/24, a West Deptford resident was charged with DUI. Court date pending.
December 25, 2025 – Merry Christmas
On 12/26, a former Morris Street resident was charged with trespassing after stealing a blanket from the front steps of another Morris Street resident. The blanket was located and returned to the owner. Court date pending.
On 12/27, officers were dispatched to Acme in response to a shoplifting incident. Employees reported that a male concealed laundry pods, deodorant, and other food items in bags totaling $269.00 and left the store without paying. The male fled behind Patient First and was lost from sight. The incident is still under investigation, and once the male is identified, he will be charged accordingly.
