Woodbury City Public Schools is offering free, nutritional lunches in summer to any children under the age of 18 who reside in Woodbury. In July, Woodbury children can receive a lunch at either the Junior-Senior High School’s blue cafeteria or Evergreen Avenue’s cafeteria Monday through Thursday between 11 a.m. and noon until July 28. In August, children can receive lunch at Evergreen’s cafeteria Monday through Thursday between 11 a.m. and noon beginning August 1 and ending on August 18. There are no registration or income requirements, nor do children have to be enrolled in Woodbury City Public Schools or its summer programs to receive a free lunch. Menus can be found here.

Art in the Street, Municipal Alliance

Woodbury’s “Art in the Street” is a free, outdoor art program for kids ages 7 to 12 years old, with artist Doris Nogueira-Rogers.  Each week will explore a different art technique and will include drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, paper mache, sculpture and batik. All supplies are provided.  No registration is required.

Summer Theater Youth Initiative, The Sketch Club Players

Cave Quest: Following the Light of Jesus, the Light of the World. Dates: Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 29, 2016. Place: Holy Angels Worship Center (96 Green Ave., Woodbury). Time: 9 AM to 12 noon. Ages: 4 through just-finished 6th grade. Cost:  FREE!. Come and join us for a week of fun and fellowship with a theme of mystery, exploration, and coming out of the darkness and into the light!  We will learn about God’s great love for us while making crafts, singing, playing games, even doing some fun science experiments. Save the date and look for registration forms coming soon, for both participants and volunteers!

Woodbury Public Library’s Summer Children’s Programs will begin on June 28, and registration is now underway — stop by the circulation desk or call (856) 845-2611 to sign up today!

Ages 18 months to 3 years will meet on Tuesdays at 11:00 AM, starting July 5

Ages 3 to 5 will meet on Wednesdays at 1:00 PM, starting July 6

Ages 5 to 9 will meet on Wednesdays at 3:30 PM, starting July 6

Ages 9 to 12 will meet for ‘Tween Twilight on Thursdays at 7:00 PM starting July 7

In addition to our regular Summer Children’s Programs (listed above), we have a whole lot of summer fun planned! Starting on June 28, there will be a different Terrific Tuesdays special event each week for kids of all ages. Starting on July 7, Kid’s Coloring Days with McArt a la Carte will meet on Thursdays at 2:00 for ages 5 and up. And immediately following the coloring we’ll have our Summer Movie Club for Kids at 3:30; the movies begin on June 30.  Kids’ Chess for grades 3 through 8 will continue throughout the summer on Fridays at 3:30.   More information about all of this and more is available at the library; ask for copies of our Children’s Summer Program flyers so you don’t miss out on any of the fun!


Summer Music Camp, Kemble Memorial UMC
