Notice is hereby given that a Request for Qualifications are available at the City Hall, 33 Delaware Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096.  The City Hall is open on Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

This project entails acquisition of real property and construction of improvements for the 100 Block of South Broad Street which is part of the Mixed Use Downtown Business District Redevelopment Plan.  The project area is designated as a redevelopment area in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-6 and contains 2.93 acres.  The proposed uses include retail commercial, office, hotel and residential uses.  The redevelopment proposals received will be evaluated as to the manner in which they are anticipated to achieve the City’s objectives and the objective of the Downtown Business District Redevelopment Plan.  The selected redeveloper’s vision for the Project Area shall be in compliance with the Downtown Business District Redevelopment Plan.  The governing body and the Joint Land Use Board shall review and approve all proposed site and building plans in advance.   Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of Affirmative Action – N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. & N.J.A.C. 17:27.  Proposals must be made for the development of the redevelopment area in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications.

A $100 non-refundable fee, payable to the City of Woodbury by certified check or money order, is required for each Request for the Qualification package and persons obtaining a copy must document receipt of same and provide contact information to the City of Woodbury for each copy taken.

Interested redevelopers must submit proposals enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the contract description on the outside and addressed to:  Daneen Fuss, City Clerk, 33 Delaware Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096 by the submission deadline of 3:00 PM on September 17, 2019 at which time the proposals will be opened and publicly read.  Late proposals will not be accepted or considered.  The City assumes no responsibility for proposals mailed or misdirected in delivery.  The City will acknowledge each timely received response.  Incomplete responses will be returned without consideration.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and is not obligated to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding and Redevelopment Agreement if, in the City’s sole discretion, it is not in the best interest of the City.
