Dear Woodbury Community,

Cities across the United States are seeing numerous unprovoked attacks against Asian-Americans.  Such attacks are not new, but that does not mean we should stand by and watch.  As a community built on the shoulders of all races, ages, and gender – we stand up and support you.  Advocating for Asian Americans aims not to victimize the race, but to foster social unity and harmony.   Only together we can advance the goals we already work toward as individual organizations— promoting a fair and equitable society for all, strengthening civil and human rights, and empowering the vulnerable communities. Hate cannot overcome the virus; technology and solidarity can.  We also see how hate can take on many forms and we, as a community, have to stand together to rise against it.

We also send our prayers and warmest thoughts towards the victims and their families in the Boulder, CO shooting that took place this week.

Remember to be Kind.
